Last updated July 2, 2026. This explains what we collect and why.

Who we are

The Competitive Programming Club (“CPClub”, “we”) is a student club at the Arab Academy for Science & Technology (AAST), Abu Qir branch. You can reach us at cpclub@aast.edu.

Information we collect

When you register or contact us, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, phone number, college/major, academic year, and Codeforces handle. For members, we also store training progress, session attendance, and problem-solving activity used to display your dashboard and the club leaderboard.

How we use it

We use your information to run the club: to process registrations, organize sessions and contests, track training progress, display standings among members, and send you reminders about upcoming sessions and deadlines. We do not sell your personal information.

What other members can see

The member leaderboard shows your name, photo, Codeforces handle, and rating to other signed-in members of your level, so the club can display standings. Your email, phone number, and registration details are never shown to other members.

Sharing

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the club — for things like hosting, email, and security. They only process your information to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as you are a member or applicant, and remove it on request or when it is no longer needed for club purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you emails, at any time by contacting cpclub@aast.edu.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
